Ask And Ye Shall Receive

Having run a low-level campaign whinged about the lack of facilities for residents of West Dubai, Keefieboy is pleased to note that Dubai Municipality is finally planning to provide us with something to justify their Property Tax. Schools, hospitals, health centres, fire stations and mosques are promised. Thank you DM.

Residents of West Dubai also deserve a better name for the area than "West Dubai".
Something with meaning. Preferably suggesting that it is green and pleasant?

Mohammed: I'm the only person on the planet who calls it 'West Dubai'. Everybody else calls it 'New Dubai', which I think is indescribably naff. Green and pleasant? Ahem.

How much do you want to bet there’ll be some sort of fee attached to each of these facilities?

Never mind 'West Dubai'; I am surprised (disappointed) to see no comment on the UN report on Internet censorship. Dubbay got a whole 5 inches of attack! No comment from either you OR Secret!!
Is this Subject Non Grata?

Regards (and smiles)

sam, there have been a few of the
old 'broadsheets' covering the situation in dxb for the workers, of all nationalities - but mainly the construction guys + Amnesty wide coverage not all good but I guess that was going to have to come. Most open minded people appreciate that not all is, or ever has been rosy here..
