My Babies!

Never mind Tom Cruise and wottsername, I'm not asking $3,000,000 for a glimpse of my babies. Here they are, for free!

Actually, this isn't all of them, there's a stack more further down the trough. Sadly a whole lot of them fried in the sunshine today, so the nursery is indoors now.

Aren't they cute? And aren't they tall!

Basil001, etc.?

I can bet you never had a snowball's chance in hell naming Oscar. Poor guy would have had to go through life with a name like "OFSPRNG01" or something like that.

But the Basils are cute.

Hi Keefieboy,

I grew some basil recently - very successful. Yes, the microwave rays wil kill them stone dead if you're not too careful.

Also tried chilli peppers... they grew well but alas, or indeed halas, no peppers.

Can you grew a banana tree on an apartment balcony?

Unlike Suri Cruise, at least you know what seed these babies came from...

Your camera was too close, should have zoomed from a bit of a distance.

Does anyone know what Basil is called in Arabic..??

Cheers!

Gautam & Aymony: the photo is deliberately blurred so my babies cannot be identified by stalkers!

Gautam: in Arabic, basil is al habaqa (interestingly, in Spanish it is albahaca). So in the fine tradition of Arabic naming of multiple kiddiewinkles, they would be habaqawahed, habaqa-ithnain, habaqathalaata etc.
