Castles in the Land of Sand

We've just been down to Ibn Battuta Mall, and found ourselves at the Chinese end, where we saw this marvellous sand sculpture. Done by Jenny Rosen, sandcastle maker of this parish, it's quite amazing.



It's going to be there until the end of Ramadan, and then I guess, demolished.

Addendum: you don't really get a sense of scale from these photos, so I should tell you that it is at least 4 metres diameter at the bottom, and about 3 metres high.
